Idex launches NouvelAir, its end-of-lockdown solution to help its clients prepare to resume business in their buildings
NouvelAir is Idex’s solution to help its clients manage health risks ahead of lockdown restrictions being relaxed.
This solution, in the form of ready-to-use kits, enhances risk management in contaminated premises and ensures a trouble-free resumption of business activities from 11 May 2020.
Idex manages more than 18,000 buildings of numerous types: shared housing, hospitals, medical-social centres, offices, educational establishments, industrial facilities, etc.
The health crisis has had a significant impact on the routine operation of technical installations in buildings, which demands a coordinated response.
These events have severely disrupted the management of the most pressing risks, such as Legionella and the probable presence of COVID‑19 in waste water.

With the pandemic, to welcome various groups of people back into buildings, it makes sense to be cleaning and disinfecting communal areas, surfaces and offices. But in order to limit the risks, it is also essential to manage the operation and use of sanitary facilities and air conditioning in buildings. This is a priority in avoiding the spread of Legionnaire’s disease and COVID 19 through sanitary installations and HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) systems.
A solution in the form of ready-to-use kits
Idex is fully aware of these issues and wants to help its clients prepare as fully as possible for the relaxation of lockdown restrictions, to ensure optimal management of indoor risks in their communal spaces. The French energy group has therefore designed a solution for its clients across France, comprising two ready-to-use kits. One is designed for healthcare and medical-social settings, and the other for shared housing and tertiary buildings.
Coordinated by Idex
To secure each client’s indoor environment and technical installations, these kits feature suggested intervention actions coordinated by Idex, specifically tailored to each client, with a detailed report supplied on completion, in the interest of full transparency with clients:
-
Cleaning and disinfection of communal areas, surfaces, offices, and homes carried out by Idex’s specialist cleaning partners.
-
Cleaning and disinfection of air-handling systems and restoration of sanitary water installations, with enhanced management of Legionella risk, and all inspections and verifications required for the resumption of operations. All these tasks are carried out by Idex teams.
