The Idex School Tour is back!
The Idex work-study bus hits the road in France for a second Idex School Tour. The goal is to recruit 150 students for work-based training in high-growth jobs in energy infrastructure.
Idex has launched the second edition of the Idex School Tour, which will stop in 25 cities and 40 schools – twice as many as last year – between March 9 and April 4 2023 to meet undergraduate students.
Through the School Tour, Idex wants to raise its profile among students, teach them about the current energy context, energy professions and the key role that technicians[NI1] can play.
Students are invited to join us inside the bus to learn about jobs at Idex and talk to branch managers and local HR staff. They can also meet former students who completed their work-based training program and are now Idex employees. In the job dating area, they might even sign a contract on the spot for a work-based training program!
The Idex School Tour bus will be operating in ten French regions:
Normandy: Saint-Lô, Mondeville, Sainte Etienne-du-Rouvray, Le Havre
Grand-Est: Bar-le-Duc, Laxou, Nancy, Art-sur-Meurthe, Pont-à-Mousson
Auvergne Rhône-Alpes: Savoie department, Grenoble, Clermont-Ferrand
Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur: L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, Sorgues, Aix-en-Provence, Marseille
Occitanie: Montpellier, Nîmes
Centre-Val de Loire: Saint-Pierre-des-Corps, Chartres
Île-de-France: Paris, Chilly-Mazarin
Champagne-Ardenne: Reims Hauts-de-France: Lille and Dunkerque
Pays de la Loire: Nantes

Idex’s mission is to fast-track the energy transition in regions. To do that, we need 800 young people to join us. We believe that training programs are the obvious way to make that happen. Therefore, I’m proud to launch another Idex School Tour, an initiative through which we recruited 50 people in 2022. For this second edition, we raised our goal to 150. For the young recruits, we offer the assurance of a job in a high-growth sector, and for us, it’s a valuable way of helping regions decarbonize.
