Decarbonise your industrial utilities

Are you looking for competitive solutions to cope with rising fossil fuel prices and accelerate your environmental transition? With Idex, you can rely on the supply of industrial utilities at a stable and competitive price , thanks to low-carbon energies (biomass, biogas, waste heat and recovery of by-products).

Your challenges: embark on your industrial energy transition

Rising and volatile energy prices, anticipation of future environmental regulatory constraints and need for making industrial products attractive are prompting industrial players to deploy decarbonisation strategies.

Reduce your dependence on fossil fuels and the associated emissions

Improve your competitiveness

Financing this energy transition

Our solution: supplying industrial utilities with a commitment to results

Idex offers a complete solution for managing industrial utility production infrastructure, covering design, construction, financing, maintenance and energy management. With its expertise in energy management, Idex optimises your renewable energy needs from the design phase and organises the most appropriate energy supply chain. During the construction phase, Idex manages authorisations, mobilises subsidies and proposes available financing solutions. Idex establishes safety procedures, carries out preventive and corrective maintenance, and ensures the operational efficiency of the utility production facility. Finally, Idex produces ongoing analyses and recommendations to maintain the performance of utility production.

Our performance commitments

  • Guarantee the safety of the people and facilities managed

  • Supply of utilities: availability, quantity, quality, optimised costs

  • Reduce your environmental footprint and offset your GHG emissions through certified projects

  • Decouple your energy bill from the price of fossil fuels and carbon taxes

  • Access public funding (ADEME, CEE \[Energy efficiency white certificates] , other national subsidies)

  • Use renewable energy sources, process by-products and industrial waste energy

  • Create supply chains for recoverable organic materials to support local areas

Our expertise: using biomass to help our customers reduce their carbon footprint

Like photovoltaics and wind power, biomass is a renewable energy source. Wood energy is the leading source of renewable energy in France, producing 66% of renewable heat as a substitute for fossil fuels.

With more than 230 biomass heating plants in France, Idex has developed extensive expertise in the field:

  • Drawing up biomass supply plans: forestry chips, pruning wood, waste wood, agricultural by-products, etc.
  • Contract negotiation
  • Support for boiler plant design
  • Ash management
  • Training of on-site operating teams (biomass quality control)

Aware of the need to use this resource wisely, we only use it when it is the most appropriate solution.

Our key figures

18 Energy Production Plants

Fromagerie Bel

In Evron, Mayenne, Idex is helping the cheese dairy to gradually reduce its dependence on fossil fuels for the production of industrial steam utilities. In order to achieve carbon neutrality by 2025, Idex is designing, financing and operating a biomass heating plant to avoid emitting 8,500 tonnes of CO2 per year. The project is supported by a BCIAT from Ademe and the Plan France Relance.

lis by lesaffre

Idex is designing, building, financing and operating a biomass heating plant for the European leader in the custom drying of food, nutraceutical, cosmetic and pharmaceutical ingredients. This new facility will help to reduce carbon emissions by 13,500 tonnes a year. The project is supported by a BCIAT subsidy from ADEME and CEE.

cnes

Idex builds and operates two CNES biomass cogeneration plants. These facilities are considered to be the energy hubs of the Guiana Space Centre (CSG) in Kourou, and are fuelled by local biomass. Their purpose is to produce electricity and cold at a competitive and stable price for the needs of the space base.

Testimonial

We believe it is vital for the long-term future of our drying business to reduce our exposure to fossil fuels and drastically cut the CO2 emissions that go with them. We’re particularly excited to be embarking on this long-term partnership with Idex, which will enable us to benefit from its know-how and expertise.
