Jean-Baptiste Nicolas joins Idex as the Group’s Chief Financial Officer
Jean-Baptiste Nicolas is joining a fast-growing group that has established itself as a key player in the local green energy market.
Aged 43, Jean-Baptiste Nicolas has held various positions of responsibility in the public and private sectors. He served as Chief Financial Officer then Head of Human Resources at Paris City Council. His most recent role was Chief Financial Officer of Suez in France.
Jean-Baptiste Nicolas is an alumnus of ESSEC Business School, ENA (Inspector of Public Finances, “Senghor” class), Sciences Po and the College of Europe in Bruges.

I’m happy to be joining Idex to contribute to an ambitious development project supporting the ecological revolution. I will be committed to mobilising the financial teams to support the company’s scale-up, help improve its efficiency and offer our clients the most competitive solutions.
We’ve brought in a CFO who can help us accelerate our growth in the energy transition market – a market we have been active in since Idex was founded in 1963. His excellent knowledge of the public and private sectors and his enterprising nature will enable us to meet our new objectives while staying true to our values of boldness, agility, entrepreneurial passion and team spirit.
