Idex, a key player in the local low-carbon energy market, also demonstrates commitment in its choice of partners. Since 2020, which marked the creation of its Bâtiment Bas Carbone (BBC), [lit. low-carbon building] business, Idex has been collaborating with Voltec Solar to supply French-made solar panels.

This partnership enables Idex to offer its clients EVCI (electric vehicle charging infrastructure) and turnkey solar power plants. Having been extremely satisfied with the solar panels produced by the French specialist Voltec, Idex recently took delivery of the first of a total 15,000 TARKA 6 MWp photovoltaic modules for installation in solar power plants using predominantly European components of exceptionally high quality.

The Idex BBC division offers turnkey solutions including the design, construction, finance, and operation of commercial and industrial solar installations, which can also incorporate EVCI stations, creating a virtuous energy circle. The renewable energy produced is made directly available to Idex clients on site, often linked to electric mobility, energy management, and carbon footprint reduction solutions.

Nine of the Safran Group’s sites in France will benefit from custom-built solar shade canopies fitted with solar panels manufactured by the French company Voltec Solar at its production facility in Dinsheim-sur-Bruche, Alsace.

These meet all the quality standards set by Idex and come with an exceptionally small carbon footprint, along with a comprehensive analysis of their life cycle.

Through this partnership with a powerful shared vision, Idex and Voltec Solar are committed to consolidating and developing a genuinely virtuous low-carbon European and French photovoltaic solar sector. This will meet client expectations in areas such as France-based production and short loops.

The two businesses are EcoVadis-certified for their respective commitments to continuous improvement across a range of CSR indicators.
