This Tuesday 16 June, the Mayor of Nice and President of the Nice Côte d’Azur Métropole, accompanied by Hervé Paul, Mayor of Saint-Martin-du-Var and Chair of the Water, Sanitation and Energy Committee, visited the future heating and cooling network for the Nice Méridia eco-district. The network was presented to them by Benjamin Fremaux (CEO), Arnaud Cirou (Regional Director), Fabien Lopez (Agency Manager) and Eduard Maldonado (Project Manager).

In accordance with the region’s desire to reduce greenhouse gas emissions while capitalising on geothermal energy (a local renewable resource), Idex is building a connected thermal network 82% fuelled by renewable energies.

It will provide heating and cooling services for 500,000 m² of buildings.
